Our Purpose

“Agapé” is the Greek word for the unconditional love of God.  Such love is humanly impossible, yet it is God’s plan for each of us to live in this love and extend it to others.  This becomes possible when we enter a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus.

At Agape ICA, we recognize that we have been loved by God to live Him, one another, and the world.  This is accomplished as we follow the biblical model of Acts 2:

A-ssembling together in worship
G-rowing together in discipleship
A-ttending to fellowship
P-articipating in ministry  
E-mpowered for evangelism

Our Purpose at Agape ICA is to love God and make His love known.

Jesus quoted Isaiah in defining His mission:
Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
