Rev. Ken & Sister Peggy Krake
We welcome our new pastors, Ken & Peggy Krake of California!
The Krakes have been in full time ministry since 1962, when they began pastoring in Hawaii, right after Ken graduated from what is now Vanguard University in Southern California. Then for twelve years they served as missionaries in Ghana, West Africa, before Ken embarked on his Master’s study at Wheaton College in Illinois from which he earned a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Communication. After serving as Missionary in Residence at North Central University in Minneapolis for two academic years, the Krakes became pastors of Christian Life Church in Farmington, Minnesota, where they served for four years.
In 1990 the Krakes were reappointed as foreign missionaries with the A/G, and went to establish and pastor U.S. military fellowships in Germany. These churches were military churches that ministered to both locals and internationals as well as the military community. After sixteen years, in 2006, the Krakes moved from Germany to Belgium to serve as campus pastors / Chapel coordinator (also teaching) at Continental Theological Seminary where they served for two academic years.
For the past three years they have been ministering under A/G World Missions with a ministry called “Foreign Armed Forces Network”. As many as 1000 foreign military officers from over 100 countries of the world are brought to San Antonio, Texas by the U.S. Defense Department to study English before going on to further military courses in the U.S. Since these students already have a realm of influence in their countries, the impact through this ministry is
significant.
In December of 2011 Ken and Peggy Krake moved to Taipei to assume the role of lead pastor at Agape ICA. With over 25 years of pastoral experience, plus teaching experience in Africa, the U.S. and several foreign Bible Schools in Europe, the Krakes come with a long history of ministerial experience which as they serve Agape ICA.
The Krakes have four children and twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, living and working in several U.S. States. The grandchildren range in age from 5 months to 25 years.
