Senior Pastors Harry L. & Sister Kay Leid
Rev. Harry Leid was born in Ohio in the United States in 1929, while his wife Kay was born in Spokane, Washington in 1928. After serving a term in the US Army Harry and Kay were married and moved to Seattle, Washinton to Attend Northwest College.
Harry attended four years and graduated with a degree in Religion in 1954. Kay received her BA in General Studies with a minor in Religion, in 2005 from Bethany University.
They now have been married nearly 56 years. All their married life they have ministered in the Assemblies of God in USA Home Missions, or with the Assemblies of God World Missions overseas. They have ministered on an Indian Reservation in the USA, for four years with six of their converts entering the ministry in the AOG. They spent twenty years in inner city Oakland, California, ministering to alcoholics, drug addicts, and street people. The programs they led worked with approximately 300 people a day.
From 1963 to 1972 they worked in Indonesia. For seven years Pastor Leid was director of the Sekolah Teologi Minahasa. Also their ministry included church planting, church building, and evangelism.
In November of 1995 they moved to Vientiane, Laos, to direct the English Language Center at the Faculty of Medicine with the National University. They were there two and one half years teaching doctors, dentist, and Medical Faculty staff.
In 1998 they were called to pastor the International Christian Assembly in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They were there over six years. The church grew from 100 adults and children to 330 adults and children per Sunday.
In January of 2005 the Leids arrived in Taipei to intern pastor the Agape ICA church. The former pastor is unable to return as pastor so now they are Senior Pastors of this wonderful Agape ICA Church. Already the church is beginning to grow and new programs are being added to the multi-cultural congregation.
