This Week at Agape (15-Jan-2010)

We've missed the Leids and are looking forward to their return on February 17th! This week many members are traveling to be with their families in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Government offices, banks, schools, and many businesses are also closed for the holiday.

This past Sunday we had no Chinese service as most of our members were traveling to be with family throughout Taiwan. However, at our 2pm service, congregants were treated to yet another uplifting message by Noel Yang. This time, she brought one of her paintings to illustrate her message entitled, "His Banner Over Me is Love." Both the painting and the message were inspired by Solomon's Song of Songs.   • Adult English Learners Outreach No classes for two weeks due to the Chinese New Year holidays. We'll resume Feb. 26th. For more information, call Dora Hsu, 0963-258-248.
  • Power House Prayer Meeting 8 - 10 PM, on the 9th floor, AG Center, led by Jonathan Ezemeka. These vital times of intercessory prayer take place every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

    No Children's English Outreach due to the Lunar New Year holiday. All Mandarin speaking children, 5 - 8 years old, are invited to join these classes which will resume Feb 27th. For more information please phone Wendy Chen at 2598-1009.

  • Agape Morning Service in Mandarin 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon We welcome our Chinese congregation back and wish them a blessed Year of the Tiger. This Sunday Noel Yang will bring another of her inspiring and uplifting messages. Noel is a gifted speaker, just one of the many talents with which she is blessed.   • Sunday Noon Prayer Meeting 12:00 noon - 1:30 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center led by Jonathan Ezemeka. Agape services are being especially blessed and rewarded by the presence of the Lord as a result of these intercessory prayer times. Come and join this rewarding prayer meeting. More persons of prayer are needed to join with us during this important time of intercessory prayer.
  • Agape Afternoon Service in English 2:00 - 4:00 PM Join us this Sunday as we welcome the Leids back from California and enjoy the word of God as ministered by Pastor Fari Rider of Children's Lane.
  • No Adult Christian Education 4:30 - 5:30 PM The English class will be postponed until the Leids return from California, but Tagalog speakers can join Sis. Lolit Lu on the 9th floor for Adult Christian education.
