This Week at Agape ICA (02 August 2010)

We hope everyone in our six congregations had a visitation of God yesterday.

Chosen Ones Taipei welcomed Senior Pastor Harry Leid, Kay, and their granddaughter Elizabeth. Pastor Leid preach one of his messages from the series “WHY AM I HERE! These messages are to encourage believers to know how they are in the Will of God in their present situation. This message was from Romans 1:8 – 17. The people then had a birthday celebration for Pastor Leid who will be 81 on Thursday.

The Agape ICA Church had a wonderful worship service with Pastor Fari Rider leading worship. Pastor Leid brought the second in the series “Why Am I Here!�. This message was about how two men of God faced their current situations. In Acts 20 and 21 the Apostle Paul was determined to go to Jerusalem even though it was a death sentence for him. Elijah who is one of the most famous prophets of all time went through a very discouraging period I hs battle with the wicket Jezebel. The Christian life is not always a bed of roses, but God is always in control. The YWAM presentation of their school here I Taiwan was very inspiring. Following the service the congregation had a surprise birthday party for Pastor Leid. There was food, gifts, and a mixer game where everyone was given a piece of paper with a letter of the alphabet on it. Then the people were to give Pastor a message with a word beginning with the letter they had been given. The people shared some very complimentary thoughts for pastor.

  • Children's Outreach led by Wendy Chen will meet this week on Saturday at 2 PM. All Mandarin speaking children, 5 - 8 years old, are invited to join these classes. For more information please phone Wendy Chen at 2598-1009.

  • Agape Mandarin Service 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon on the 3rd floor, AG Center. Noel Yang will speak in this service. Noel is a graduate of the Uiversity of Southern California.   • Sunday Noon Prayer Meeting 12:00 noon - 1:30 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center. Agape services are being especially blessed and rewarded by the presence of the Lord as a result of these intercessory prayer times. Come and join this rewarding prayer meeting. More persons of prayer are needed to join with us during this important time of intercessory prayer.

  • Adult Christian Education this week 4:30 - 5:30 PMThe English class is studying the Holy Spirit, and is directed by Pastor Kay Leid. The class meets on the 6th floor of the AG Center. The Tagalog class on the 9th floor will be taught by Pastor Myra Banawe. The topic is relationships. These classes have open enrollment and you can join one of them any Sunday.
