This Week At Agape ICA (02 November 2009)

Yesterday was a great day for Agape Mandarin Church as their Coordinator, Dora Hsu, brought an inspiring message. Pastor Fari Rider served communion to all the believers. This congregation is in a rebuilding mode at this time and needs new people to come and join them. ICA’s daughter church, Chosen Ones, with Pastor Tess Tan, held their second service in Xinzhuang City. This is a new Filipino church opened under the umbrella of Agape ICA. We are so blessed that God had given Sister Tess Tan a burden to become a church planter. This is the second congregation she has planted in Taiwan.

In the afternoon Agape ICA English service Pastor Harry Leid brought the second part of a message, “Why Do I Go To Church? The congregation laughed when Pastor Leid gave the first reason why he goes to church. He said, “I go to church because my wife goes to church, and I like to be with her. He then gave seven other reasons, and could have given one hundred reasons why he goes to church. Later you can hear and see this message posted here on this website.
Ekklesia is one of the most important Greek words in the Bible. It means “the church, The Hebrew means “God’s people called together by God in order to listen to or act for God. The New Testament uses the word in three different ways, The Universal Church, A Particular Church such as at Corinth, and The actual assembly of the believers in any place, meeting together for worship. It is never used of a church building.
The New Testament shows us three different relationshops the Church has: 1. In human terms, 2. In divine terms, and 3, as the Church of Christ. Agape ICA is a local body of this church of Christ.
Check this website later in the week for the complete message.
