This Week at Agape ICA (05-July-2010)

Yesterday morning was like a bee hive here at the AG Center. The youth were out in force to bring everything for Children’s Camp out of the building and load it on a big truck to go to Longmen Campgrounds. Camp starts today, so please pray throughout the week for the children, counselors and staff.

Agape Mandarin enjoyed the super ministry of Noel Yang. She inspired everyone with her unique style of ministry. Senior Pastor Harry Leid served communion.

The Agape ICA Church had an enthusiastic service with the worship led by Jason Tan. Jason, who was trained at Hillsong in Australia, does a great job of leading worship. Pastor Leid brought another message in the series on the Holy Spirit. This one was entitled, "Lesser Known Gifts of the Holy Spirit." First he outlined nine of the major gifts: 1. Gifts of revelation: wisdom, words of knowledge, and discerning of spirits. 2. Gifts of power: faith, miracles, and gifts of healing. 3. Gifts of utterance (vocal): tongues, interpretation of tongues, and prophecy. These are found in I Corinthians 12:8-10. The main part of the message was on Church Planting gifts and Gifts of Administration. He used the illustration that the purpose of a good cake is to be used (eaten), not to be left sitting until it is too hard to eat. People enjoyed this illustration and next week we will look at more gifts of the Holy Spirit.
