This Week At Agape ICA (12 July 2010)

The troops – staff, volunteers, and children came back from Children’s Camp excited, but exhausted. Of course there was the unloading, storing, and getting the auditorium ready for Sunday services. If you have FaceBook you can see pictures uder the name of Dora Hsu with the dog face picture, and under Jennifer Chau. There are some really good pictures. The children were blessed, and many of them had deeper experiences in Jesus Christ. Next Sunday a special Children's Camp Report will be given with pictures. This week please pray for the Taiwan AG Youth Camp at Hsinchu which begins Tuesday and ends Friday..

Agape Mandarin enjoyed the ministry of Wendy Yu. She inspired everyone with her unique style of ministry.

The Agape ICA Church had an enthusiastic service with the worship led by Jason Tan. Jason, who was trained at Hillsong in Australia, does a great job of leading worship. Pastor Leid brought another message in the series on the Holy Spirit. This one was # 2 entitled, "Lesser Known Gifts of the Holy Spirit." First, he talked about how to receive Gifts of the Holy Spirit using scripture from ! Corinthians 12:31; 14:1, 39. The key phrases in these verses are a. covet earnestly the best gifts; desire the greater gifts; love is the bridge between Chapter 12 & 14; eagerly desire spiritual gifts; be eager to prophecy. The two lesser know gifts of the spirit talked about were: the Gift of Serving, and the Gift of showing Mercy. All Christians should serve and show mercy, but there is a special place in the body of Christ called the Gift of Serving and the Gift of showing Mercy.

Next Sunday Pastor Leid will bring a different type of message. The title of the up coming message is “Why Am I Here.”
