This Week at Agape ICA (19-Apr-2010)

This was a super weekend at Agape ICA here in Taipei, Taiwan. Friday night and Saturday morning we enjoyed a Men’s Seminar by Rev. Ron Manske visiting here in Taipei. He taught on (1) accountability, (2) the five love languages, (3) and marriage relationships, how men are different from women in their reactions. All of these topics were very helpful. Pastor Ron spoke Sunday morning at the Chosen Ones Filipino Church. Many were blessed and when the altar call was given a number fell under the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the morning Mandarin service Senior Pastor Harry Leid brought a message from the theme of the anniversary, “Revival of the Mind,� from Philippians 4:8,9. The first thought was, What kind of a mind do we have? Do we have: a garbage dump mind, a blank mind, an intellectual mind, a stupid mind, or a spiritual mind? A Spiritual Mind is a mind that God occupies. God is pleased in the same way when we take off our old stained garments and put on the robes of righteousness given us by Jesus Christ. In the afternoon Agape ICA service Evangelist Otto and his wife Trudy ministered. They reported on their trip this week to Vietnam where they minister to a large number of Catholic priests and nuns. Their ministry was received with signs and wonders following. Evangelist Otto thrilled the congregation as he told of God’s leading and God’s hand of blessing in their lifetime ministry in Europe, and now in Asia.

WEDNESDAY, April 21, 2010

Wednesday Night Bible Study continues this Wednesday night, April 21st. Join us from 7:00 - 8:30 on the 3rd floor, AG Center for a DVD study by Dr. John Stott, famous English Bible Teacher. Why not come and join us for this refreshing Bible Study.

FRIDAY, April 23, 2010

  • Adult English Learners Outreach This class is now led by Pastor Fari Rider with help from Dora Hsu and Kay Leid. The English Class is at 7 PM, and meets on the 3rd floor. This class has open enrollment so everyone is welcome to come and study English. For more information, call Dora Hsu, Call 0963-258-248 for more information.
  • Power House Prayer Meeting 8:00 - 10:00 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center. These are held every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, led by Jonathan Ezemeka.. Everyone is invited to attend and take part in this prayer meeting.

  • Children's Outreach led by Wendy Chen will meet this week on Saturday at 2 PM. All Mandarin speaking children, 5 - 8 years old, are invited to join these classes. For more information please phone Wendy Chen at 2598-1009.

    • SUNDAY, April 25th, 2010

  • Special event at Agape Mandarin: This Sunday the Mandarin congregation will take a day trip to Maokong, departing Agape at 10:00 AM. Upon their arrival they will have a time of praise and worship, followed by lunch at a tea shop. Noel Yang will lead the activities and will also bring a message on "The Relationship".   • Sunday Noon Prayer Meeting 12:00 noon - 1:30 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center led by Jonathan Ezemeka. Agape services are being especially blessed and rewarded by the presence of the Lord as a result of these intercessory prayer times. Come and join this rewarding prayer meeting. More persons of prayer are needed to join with us during this important time of intercessory prayer.
  • Agape Afternoon Service in English 2:00 - 4:00 PM Senior Pastor Harry Leid will minister this week and bring a message entitled, "Who Do I Want God To Be?" For more information please phone Pastor Leid at (02) 2571 8120 or Wendy Chen at 2598-1009.
  • Adult Christian Education 4:30 - 5:30 PM Pastor Kay Leid will teach the English Class about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the side room. The Tagalog class has been studying about how to handle stress as a Christian. This class is on the 9th floor of the AG Building.
