This Week at Agape ICA (24-May-2010)

Yesterday was Pentecost Sunday. The Chosen Ones congregation celebrated this day with much enthusiasm. Brother Vic Ong preached and gave material about Pentecost Sunday including the history until today. The whole front of the church auditorium was filled with people seeking the infilling of the Holy Spirit or a refilling of the Spirit of God. At least five and perhaps more were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues.

Following the service the church had a dinner at a local Chinese Restaurant for 24 leaders and coordinators who help Chosen Ones. Senior Pastor Harry Leid and Kay were invited, and enjoyed a really delicious buffet Taiwanese lunch. Everyone ate to their heart's content.

In the Agape ICA afternoon service Pastor Fari Rider led worship and led the service. Pastor Harry Leid preached anther message from the series on the Names of Jesus. This message was entitled, "Hey Joe, Got Any Bread." It was about how Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life. We are to become the bread of Christ to the people around us and show Him in our daily lives. Wednesday Night Bible Study This Wednesday night we continue the DVD series on "That the World May Know." This study brings insights and thoughts about the land and language of the Bible. There will be opportunity for questions and answers. Join us from 7:00 - 8:30 on the 3rd floor, AG Center. Why not come and join us for this refreshing Bible Study.

  • Adult English Learners Outreach This class is now led by Pastor Fari Rider with help from Dora Hsu and Kay Leid. The English Class is at 7 PM, and meets on the 3rd floor. This class has open enrollment so everyone is welcome to come and study English. For more information, call Dora Hsu at 0963-258-248 for more information.

  • Power House Prayer Meeting 8:00 - 10:00 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center. These are held every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. This prayer meeting is open to everyone who enjoys praying. Come join us if you have the opportunity.

  • Agape Mandarin Service 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon on the 3rd floor, AG Center. This Sunday will be another Super Sunday Outreach. If you understand Mandarin please come and join the worship at Agape Mandarin. For more information, please phone Mandarin Coordinator Dora Hsu at 0963-258-248.

  • Sunday Noon Prayer Meeting 12:00 noon - 1:30 PM on the 9th floor, AG Center. Agape services are being especially blessed and rewarded by the presence of the Lord as a result of these intercessory prayer times. Come and join this rewarding prayer meeting. More persons of prayer are needed to join with us during this important time of intercessory prayer.

  • Agape Afternoon Service in English 2:00 - 4:00 PM. This Sunday will be Praise & Worship Sunday with special singing, dancing, drama, testimonies, music and more good expressions of love for God.   • No Adult Christian Education this week due to the water baptism and all church potluck. These classes will continue next week.

    June 6th will be Agape ICA’s going away celebration for Pastor Joy Bandojo who is returning to help her husband pastor their church in the Philippines. Pastor Joy will minister the word of the Lord.
