This Week at Agape ICA (31-May-2010)
Yesterday was Super Sunday with Praise and Worship followed by Water Baptism, then a delicious All Church Potluck Dinner. The Chosen Ones congregation celebrated their service with much enthusiasm. Sister Noel Yang shared the Word of God about "Our Spiritual Authority in Christ" with supporting verses from Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." You can see this service on the internet by going to www.hayag.com/chosenonesica
Being Super Sunday the Agape ICA afternoon service was full and very lively. Pastor Fari Rider led worship. There were eight musical numbers which included children singing and playing the keyboard, instrumental numbers on guitar and drums, keyboard specials, and outstanding testimonies.
Next, 6 adults were baptized in water. Five were from our Filipino congregations and one from our Mandarin church. What a time of rejoicing with these who have been discipled and followed the Lord in this sacrament of the church.
This was followed by an all-church potluck dinner on floor six. There was a good abundance of delicious food and everyone ate to their heart's content. A large birthday cake was brought by Kelly and Kostya to celebrate Wendy Chen’s birthday.
