A Missions-Giving Church with a Biblical Mission
Next Sunday is one of the Highlight times on the Agape ICA Calendar. It is our annual Missions Convention. The theme this year is "Love Never Fails". This event will be held at the Taipei Eye Cement Hall, 3F No. 113 Zhong Shan N. Road, Section 2, Taipei.
Why have a Missions Convention? We have a missions convention to focus all our attention once a year on the activities of Agape ICA for worldwide missions.
What will happen at the Missions Convention? There will be a Costume Parade featuring different nations of the world and their national dress. There will be special music, dances, testimonies, following a lively Worship time featuring Missions Music. Our five Agape ICA congregations will join together to support this special activity. Last year there were 251 in attendance, and this year we are looking for 300. Please bring your friends to enjoy this special event.
The special speaker will be Rev. Sue Newman from Tainan. Sue hails from England and is a veteran here in Asia. She was an active Missionary in China for years, and has been here in Taiwan for over five years. She will bring a stirring Missions Message for the Convention.
What is a Faith Promise? Every year Agape people fill out new Faith Promises. A Faith Promise is your commitment to give to Agape Missions a certain amount of cash each month. Our Missions Sunday is the second Sunday of each month. You will be given a card to fill out with the amount you plan to give by faith to our Missions Program.
Why is it called a faith promise? Because you figure out how much you can budget to Missions giving each month, and then you add an amount to that which you believe God will give you to commit to Missions. If your budget says you can give 500 NT per month to Missions you pray and ask God how much above that he will provide for you to give. You may end up making a Faith Promise of 1,500 per month. This helps the Missions Committee to make their annual pledges to the many Missions Groups we help support.
Pray much this week that God will bless our Missions Convention next Sunday.
